The other day, a colleague shared results from a recent study revealing a connection between higher body mass index (BMI) in toddlers and mothers’ prenatal exposure to environmental pollutants, such as pesticides on our food.

The study, published in Environmental Health Perspectives, concluded that prenatal chemical exposure is directly linked to birth weight and length.

Unfortunately, this study adds to the growing body of scientific evidence showing that toxic chemicals are pervasive and have profoundly negative effects on our bodies, including those of unborn children.

Why We Need to ‘Detoxify’ Our Lives

Hugh A. Tilson, PhD, editor of the journal, stated:

“With childhood obesity continuing to increase at an alarming rate, this study is an important step in assessing possible mechanisms by which pollutants may alter energy metabolism early in life.”

Studies like this highlight the need to detoxify our lives and clean up our environments. While it’s impossible to completely avoid toxins today, we can work proactively to reduce toxic overload. This involves detoxifying our bodies, food, water, air, and household items.

My latest book, The Green Body Cleanse, offers easy, at-home solutions to systematically remove chemicals and toxins from your body, home, and office. Chronic symptoms like anxiety, headaches, allergies, fatigue, sleep problems, skin issues, depression, and sinus trouble are increasingly linked to the toxicity of our living environments.

Reading more studies like this motivates me to share our cleansing and “Green Living” products with the world. It’s especially crucial for pregnant women to protect their unborn children from environmental toxins. By ensuring cleaner air, water, and living environments, mothers can help create a healthier future for their children.

How to Purify Your Living Environment

To start detoxifying your life, consider the following areas:

# Body Cleansing

Regularly cleanse your intestinal tract, liver, gallbladder, and eliminate harmful organisms and heavy metals.

# Air Quality

The air in our sealed homes and workplaces can be more toxic than outdoor air. Invest in a high-quality air purification system like the Guardian Air REME+ Air Purification System.

# Water Quality

The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that there are around 80 potentially dangerous chemicals in our tap water. Use a home water test kit to identify toxins in your water and invest in a high-tech water purifier to reduce these toxins.

# Stress

Stress at home and work can weaken our immune systems. Incorporate daily walks, meditation, yoga, or massages into your routine. Your body will thank you.

# Radiation

The constant use of computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices can expose us to harmful electromagnetic field radiation (EMF). Protect yourself from radiation by investing in protection for your home or office.

To counteract and address today’s diseases, we must tackle the root cause: toxic overload. Eliminating these disease-initiating toxins is essential for our health and well-being.
